I was browsing through the Sunday paper and came across this quote. I thought it was cute. The ad took up nearly an entire page, and was a simple pink dot that said Save Girlhood. www.savegirlhood.com
It was a bit intriguing, so I took a peek. I haven’t browsed through much of the site, but it looks generally positive. It’s a refreshing concept.

I hate to burst your bubble especially as I agree with the “save girlhood” concept.It’s just that this is from the American Girl people – a mega-expensive conglomerate with $100 dolls and matching outfits for your daughter.

And can I have the snickerdoodle description/recipe please
(I posted this on your blog, so this is a repeat.) Am I supposed to remember a snickerdoodle recipe from 30 years ago?! Ha! It was probably a Betty Crocker recipe. I’m sure I wasn’t very original. Maybe I added more cinnamon. Snickerdoodles are a soft chewy sugar cookie that is crispy on the outside and baked in a coat of cinnamon sugar. Deeeelish. Happy Food.
I guess it was less of a recipe, and more of a description that I was after. I have not encountered the word snicker in conjunction with the word doodle before. My mind boggled. Or doodled.
And definitely snickered.
heeheeheehee! I have to admit, it IS a funny name for a confection. I don’t think I’ve had a snickerdoodle in about twenty years. I remember my mom’s trick of greasing the bottom of a soup can, dipping it in the cinnamon sugar, and smashing the cookie dough ball. The cookies turned out more uniformly round and not so puffy, which I liked.
