…because
well…
…for one, it’s teal. V. eighties.
…for two, it’s made for people constructed like giraffes with very long necks. If a person of normal stature sits in it, the top pillow lump thing pushes one’s head forward so that one is forced to look at one’s lap. V. uncomfortable.
…for three, it’s ugly. Look at it!
…for four, it’s Mr. Gadget’s, and I can’t get rid of it.

Oh, another Dreadful recliner! And they last, ForEver. I had a Rrrrrreally ugly Hide-o-the-Naga one as my very first piece of purchased furniture. At least Mr. G’s is cloth.
I have 2 recliners posted as well. And even though they are in various states of disrepair, they were my husband’s before ‘us’, and will.never.leave.
It’s ‘the dad chair’ – and they can never be gotten rid of because the dad finds them so comfortable…
why DO they make them SO unattractive looking
Mine is GONE! The dog jumping up on it all the time finally broke it. I highly recommend the services of a ninety pound black lab if you come across one.
This is stuffed in the corner of the loft area, away from the general living space, but I still have to look at it every.time.I.go.upstairs. Ick! Ick! IckIckIck!!!
Soon it will be stuffed into a spare room, where I shall seldom set foot. In fact, I think I will work on that room tomorrow. 🙂 Relief is on the way.
